13th First Aid Simulation Course
Up to two months of preparation, 10 student lecturers, 16 actors and 30 participant places. This is the balance sheet of the 13th First Aid Simulation Course, an event traditionally held every semester in the framework of inter-year cooperation courses, which took place on 30th April 2022.
The task of the trained lecturers was to design a simulation on basic life support, i.e. basic first aid, and then present it to classmates across all grades with the help of the participants. Each three-person team of participants was tasked with solving the resuscitation of an adult, a massive haemorrhage, providing stroke assistance, securing the scene of a car crash and caring for the injured, or leading the dreaded resuscitation of an infant. The actual solution was followed by a debriefing where the procedure was broken down and all the necessary skills were practiced.
For the fourth time, the First Aid Simulation Course was held in the new building of the FM MU Simulation Centre, which offers, in addition to top-quality simulators and trained staff, exceptional facilities forming an ideal basis for a credible and detailed simulation. All of this leads to the best possible learning outcome with a particular emphasis on practice.
