10th Adult Learning and Basic Course of Debriefing for ZZS JMK
On Monday, 7 November 2022, the tenth Adult Learning and Basic Course of Debriefing (ABCD course) was held under the guidance of lecturers MUDr. Tereza Vafková and MUDr. Václav Vafek, this time for lecturers from the Medical Rescue Service of the South Moravian Region (ZZS JMK).
Once again, participants were from both medical and non-medical staff. During the workshop, we practised facilitating discussion on various topics and debriefing after the simulation both individually and as a tutor pair. The focus was on debriefing technical and non-technical skills. The programme and content were tailored to the needs of the participants who are mainly involved in postgraduate education.
And how do the participants evaluate the course?
"Many thanks for a beneficial course with a pleasant atmosphere. My expectation was to learn how to conduct debriefing better. The course brought me new knowledge, familiarisation with structured debriefing and setting performance gaps", says Kateřina Oborská, a doctor at the ZZS, lecturer, professional guarantor for education.

I learned how to conduct a structured debriefing, which is an essential part in adult education. The added value was the pleasant atmosphere and the excellent lecturers", says Hana Šperková, head of the ZZS education and training centre.
The first public ABCD course is coming up next month on 12 December.
