Research Focus
  • Dr. Damborská is an expert in mapping human brain, whose research focuses on electrophysiological correlates of cognitive functions and functional brain abnormalities in psychiatric disorders. This builds upon her medical backgrounds and expertise in intracranial and high density scalp electroencephalography. Recently, Dr. Damborská conducted a study on large-scale brain neuronal networks in depressive patients. Currently her research is aimed at resting-state cortico-subcortical functional coupling of the human brain and electrophysiological biomarkers of responsivness to electroconvulsive therapy and pharmacotherapy in affective disorders.
Some of the specific areas of current interest include also study on electrophysiological correlates of responsivness to dialectical behavioral therapy in borderline personality disorder.
