EPALS is a certified course of the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) intended for all healthcare professionals who can be expected to get involved in the care of a critically ill child in the first 30–60 minutes (newborn, infant, older child), either in hospital or in pre-hospital care. The teaching emphasizes teamwork skills in resuscitation teamwork, leadership, communication, and cooperation among health care professionals.
