Erasmus+ is an exchange programme of the European Union which makes it possible for the students of Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University to study at partner European universities.

THE FACULTY SELECTION PROCEEDING FOR 2025/26 ERASMUS+ STUDY STAYS IN GENERAL MEDICINE IS OPEN
Application period: 1st November - 1st December 2024
- students of 3rd - 5th years of General Medicine can apply electronically according to the informative email sent on 1st November 2024
- we recommend that you explore the information about our partner medical schools abroad and also read the selection criteria (see below)
- the language tests will be held in person in the Campus according to the following schedule.

Nomination at the faculty
- The selection procedure for ERASMUS+ study stays is open for 4th - 6th Year General Medicine students at the beginning of November; students of 3rd - 5th Years are informed about the Erasmus+ application via email. The selection contains language tests (English - C1 level, German - B2 level, French - B2 level, Italian - B2 level, Spanish - B2 level and Portuguese - B1 level). In addition to administrative information, the email also includes a link where you can sign up electronically for a list of topics in the IS according to the language test you want to take part in. You can apply for maximum of three topics.
- You have to sit for the in-person language test in the first half of December. The score you obtain in the test together with points for your GPA and year in which you apply make up your total result in the selection procedure (please see the selection conditions below).
- The results of the selection procedures are emailed to you at the beginning of February.
- You choose a university where you going to study at a nomination meeting in February.

Before departure
After a successful faculty nomination, there are some other steps necessary to complete concerning the before-departure agenda of Centre of International Cooperation, Masaryk University (CIC).
- Completing and submitting online application
- Completion of the Learning Agreement
- Securing accommodation
- Signing the Participant’s Contract
- Creating a record of the stay in IS Evidence and uploading the signed Learning Agreement

After return
- within 10 days of completion of their study stay to submit to CIC confirmation of the actual length of their study stay (Confirmation of Studies) – copy
- within 5 weeks of the publication of the examination results to submit to CIC a transcript of the subjects taken and the credits gained (Transcript of Records) – copy (the form from the foreign university is preferred)
- within 30 days from receipt of a call by e-mail to complete the final report (EU Survey) – online
- request for the recognition of courses from a foreign university through the IS MU
- request for the refund of travelling expenses; the scholarship is paid on the basis of submitted tickets which have to have a date in compliance with the beginning and end of the stay abroad.

If you are interested in studying at Portuguese partner universities, you must pass the Portuguese language test during the faculty selection process. If the capacity is not reached during the nomination meeting, free places will be offered to students who have passed the Spanish language test.

Please note that the language test that you have to complete during the faculty selection procedure corresponds with the language of instructions at the partner university. The only exemption is University of Split; in such case the English language test is required.
