Sustainability in clinical research as part of modern education
The Department of Pharmacologyat MED MUNI is now coordinating the GREEN-TRIALS project, which focuses on the environmental impact of clinical trials.
Faculty of Medicine is involved in another international project under the Erasmus+ program – Cooperative Partnership, which aims to create the first comprehensive training course for medical simulation center technicians.
This profession is currently in high demand in Europe, but there is still no specialized training program that would provide technicians with systematic preparation. Technicians in simulation centers play a key role in the preparation and implementation of simulation-based teaching, which is now an essential part of medical and non-medical healthcare professions. In response to the growing demand for qualified professionals, the project will provide a freely available online course that will be shared on the project website.
The project involves an international consortium of partners, building on the successful previous project called ACCEDE, supported under the same grant scheme. The partners were selected on the basis of long-term links with the coordinator, Ludwig-Maxmilians Universitat München, allowing the project to build on proven and stable cooperation. The consortium includes partners from Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Germany, and the Czech Republic.
The project website is currently under development and will be available online at the beginning of 2028. A kick-off meeting for the entire consortium will take place in Vienna on December 16-17, 2025.
