It is hot and dry not only outside in the garden during summer, but also in the drying room of the Medicinal Plants Centre at the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University, where temperatures often reach the high temperatures (over 40 °C) many days a year. We need to dry teas and spices well, which we supply to students of the Faculty of Medicine - future pharmacologists or nutritional therapists. We dry, for example, mint, mullein, chamomile, common agrimony, wild marjoram, mallow or calendula for them. It may also be necessary to prepare volumes of dry matter in the order of kilograms for scientific purposes. In the recent past, for example, we processed sage for research into its antibacterial properties and prospects in nanomedicine.
