Popis | Compared to other analytical techniques laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) offers several advantages such as simplicity of instrumentation, which permits online and in situ measurements and quasi nondestructive analysis. On the other hand, limitations due to matrix effects and calibration difficulty are well known. LIBS can be highly sensitive to these undesirable effects also because of the high density of material in the plasma. For this reason, frequently used laser ablation based analytical techniques utilize second excitation source (most often ICP) followed by optical or mass spectrometry. The aim of this presentation is to demonstrate differences and similarities of elemental mapping of these two techniques on the several selected samples (plants, biominerals, metals, etc.). |
