Neurochemical and neuroimaging correlates of drug addiction
Jana Ruda Kucerova and her team are interested mainly in drug addiction. The topics of their research projects cover psychiatric comorbidities of drug addiction, sex differences and search of potential pharmacological interventions. The lab is working with IV self-administration system, which is currently being replaced by a new one consisting of 16 operant boxes. Besides self-administration, the lab operates numerous behavioral tests, equipment for in vivo microdialysis and has an established collaboration with small animal MRI lab in Brno.
We seek for a post-doc who would combine our behavioral and neuroimaging approaches with neurochemical correlates in one or more of our main interests: sex differences, new anti-addiction treatments or psychiatric comorbidities of drug addiction.
