Mechanical control of tooth growth in relation to stem cell niche activity

Jan Krivanek's ‘Dental Development and Regeneration Research group’ focuses on fundamental aspects of developmental biology and its connection with regenerative medicine. We reveal the mechanisms involved in maintaining stem cell niche homeostasis, stem cell activation after injury, mechanical regulation of tooth growth, or the processes controlling cell differentiation at the molecular level.

We are currently looking for a postdoc with experience in stem cell biology, developmental biology, or dental research. We offer to work on exciting and funded research projects focused on cellular plasticity in homeostasis and healing, mechanical control of tissue growth, and deciphering molecular pathways involved in these processes. Our lab is fully equipped to perform a range of state-of-the-art methodologies, we use CEITEC core facilities and have multiple international collaborators.
