Working time off related to events for children and youths
As the summer break approaches, we would like to remind you of the opportunity to request working time off related to an event for children and youth. You can apply for one week of paid and two weeks of unpaid leave. Detailed information can be found on the ČSSZ website. If you want to take time off, please get in touch with your workplace's personnel officer in due time (the request must be made before the event).
We would also like to remind you of the obligation of employees to use a substantial part of their annual leave during the summer holidays in order not to disrupt the smooth running of the academic year, see the MU Faculty of Medicine Dean's Directive 5/2019, Article 23/4:
- Academics at least 6 weeks,
- other employees at least 4 weeks.

The Government of the Czech Republic has postponed the planned change of the health and social insurance contributions for temporary employment agreements (DPP, DPČ) to January 2025; until the end of 2024 the current limits will apply (for DPP 10 000 CZK; for DPČ 3 999 CZK). Unfortunately, it is still uncertain what the new regulations will be. We will keep you informed of the latest updates.

New wage assessments
from 1.7.2024
In connection with the change of MU employee wage rates as of 1 July 2024, the faculty's Personnel Office will prepare new wage assessments for you during June.
The increase in the rates is also related to the change in the rates for temporary employees for teaching in the Czech language and for activities related to teaching. As of 1 July, we are increasing the rates for permanent DPP and newly contracted DPP and DPČ.
The tariff for teaching in the English language stays unchanged.
