What we do?
The Junior Academy is a programme designed for talented and gifted high school students in science and medicine who want to participate in scientific projects and develop their professional knowledge and skills. This programme is organised by the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University in Brno and is intended for students from all over the Czech Republic and now also abroad.
The Junior Academy offers students the opportunity to work on scientific projects in a team with expert mentors from the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University. Within the SPAT (Student Professional Activity Theses), students gain practical experience in laboratories and clinics, and after their successful defence, they also gain admission bonuses. The goal of the program is to foster students' interest in the natural sciences and medicine and to develop their creativity, critical thinking and scientific methodology.
