1959 - Kilby [at TI] and Noyce [Fairchild Semi conductor] used the transistor crystal as it’s own circuit board. This created the first miniature integrated circuit on a silicon wafer chip.
1963 - Solid state integrated circuits were developed by a process called large scale integration [LSI]. This was developed further into very-large-scale integration [VLSI].
