Lecture: Molecular Signature Fetal Astrocyte Evolution in Primates

Engaging seminar exploring how fetal astrocytes contribute to the unique complexity of the primate brain. While astrocytes are often viewed through a clinical or functional lens, recent research highlights their critical role in shaping higher cognitive functions across primate species, including humans.

Dr. Pekowska (Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, Poland) will present groundbreaking findings comparing human, chimpanzee, and macaque induced pluripotent stem cell-derived astrocytes (iAstrocytes).
