Initial Word of the Vice-Dean

Dear PhD Candidates,

As we begin the new academic year, I am excited to introduce a fresh initiative: our new Doctoral Studies Newsletter. This newsletter aims to keep you informed, inspired, and connected with the latest developments, opportunities, and resources available to you within the Faculty of Medicine.

In this space, you will find updates on academic events, international collaborations, conference opportunities, as well as success stories from your fellow PhD candidates. It will serve as a platform for sharing important information and celebrating the achievements of our doctoral community.

Our PhD school continues to be one of the most prestigious in the Czech Republic, providing you with not only advanced knowledge but also the opportunity to collaborate with renowned global institutions. Through this newsletter, we hope to further strengthen our sense of community and provide you with valuable insights that will support your journey toward academic excellence.

I encourage you to engage with the content, share your own experiences, and take full advantage of the resources offered to enrich your doctoral journey. Together, we will continue to foster an environment of high standards, innovation, and academic growth.

Best wishes for the year ahead!

MED MUNI PhD Day 2024 Recap

This year’s PhD Day was a fantastic opportunity for first-year PhD candidates and future applicants to get a clear overview of study obligations and growth opportunities. For the first time, the event was held independently under the Faculty’s banner and featured eight lectures focusing on mobility, scholarships, and the use of AI in life sciences. The event offered not only essential insights into the rules and requirements of PhD studies but also inspired academic and personal growth.

The presentations and Q&A session are now available on the PhD Day website. Thank you to all the participants, and we look forward to seeing you next year!
