GAMU
Grant Agency of Masaryk University (GAMU): new calls for 2025
- MASH will help you bring outstanding and successful external scientists to Masaryk University – ERC holders or senior scientists at the R4 level. The new MASH Stg/CoG competition is intended to attract external scientists within 10 years of obtaining a Ph.D. Both competitions have a deadline of 9 December 2024.
- The Career Restart competition, with a deadline of 18 October 2024, facilitates the return and reintegration of scientists after a career break, such as parental leave, back into your team.

Are you a young scientist needing to balance research with care for a preschool-aged child?
Just like Michaela Capandová, a PhD student in the Biomedical Sciences program, you can benefit from the Martina Roeselová Memorial Fellowhip, amounting to 150,000 CZK per year. It is intended for postgraduate students and postdoctoral researchers who are caring for a preschool-aged child while actively engaging in scientific work. The funds can be used, for example, to cover preschool education, daycare, private childcare, etc.

Fulbright
US Fulbright Scholars and Fulbright Program for 2025/2026 academic year
Applications for U.S. Fellows for both short-term invitations (1-5 days) and stays of 2-6 weeks are open until 30 September 2024.
Deadlines are also approaching for:
- Fulbright U.S. Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (February 1, 2024)
- Fulbright Scholarship for researchers and lecturers from the Czech Republic (November 1, 2024)
- Proshek-Fulbright Fellowship for physicians and medical professionals (February 1, 2024)
