HAIRMONIC: Optimized longitudinal hair cortisol as a tool in diagnosis and monitoring of psychiatric disorders

The main aim of the project is to investigate the associations between severity and changes in symptoms of selected mental disorders (including schizophrenia) and long-term changes in cortisol levels measured using segmented hair cortisol and hair levels of any other steroid hormones

Brain organoids for target detection for precision treatment of schizophrenia

The main goal of the project is the detection of cellular pathologies that are superior to the dopaminergic system in the pathogenetic chain in clinically defined subgroups of patients with schizophrenia. These pathologies are intended to serve as new targets for individualized treatment of schizophrenia

Pharmacological reversal of metabolic derangements induced by antipsychotic treatment in animal models: intensification of the collaboration

The project is intended to support the further development of cooperation with Prof. Silje Skrede, MD, Ph.D., which was successfully launched through this initiative. The main content of the project will be the visit of the team from MU to the workplace of Prof. Silje Skrede, MD, Ph.D. (University of Bergen, Faculty of Medicine) and hosting prof. Credits to LF MU and the members of her team at our workplace
