The two-day program offered them a unique opportunity to explore topics in genomics and environmental sustainability. Under the guidance of experts from MUNI, Vojtěch Bystrý and Boris Tichý, and from the Medical University Vienna, Lukas Kenner, Isabella Ellinger, and Daniela Haluza, students delved into key areas of genome analysis and green issues.

Throughout the two days, lectures and discussions on Next-generation sequencing (NGS), library preparation, data analysis, and quality control methodologies took place. Additionally, ethical aspects related to the climate crisis and practical strategies for creating environmentally sustainable laboratories were addressed. Through dynamic engagement and discussions, students not only deepened their knowledge of genome analysis and ecological initiatives but also strengthened their contacts within the Fantom project community. This event provided doctoral students with invaluable insights and knowledge to advance their research efforts and significantly contribute to the project's goals.
