Despite her - from the point of view of the communist regime - "incorrect origin", Dr Jiřina Jedličková developed into a renowned hematologist at the Third Internal Medicine Clinic of the St.Anne's University Hospital and the regional surgeon for hematology, and later, in the 1990s, the head of the local blood bank.
